We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our group in developing machine learning emulators of climate model components. This position focuses on advancing hybrid ML-physics systems for Earth system modeling and is part of the M2Lines project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and link atmospheric and ocean emulators
• Advance machine learning techniques for Earth system modeling
• Create hybrid ML-physics systems and open-source tools
• Contribute to peer-reviewed research

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Atmospheric/Oceanic Science with ML experience, OR Computer Science
• Strong programming skills (Python, experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow preferred)
• Interest in climate modeling and high-performance computing

Details:

• Salary: $71,000 annually
